With gratitude and excitement, we invite you to join us in prayer with our relatives from the Brazilian Amazon, Spiritual leaders, Biruany, Bixku, and Nawa Sia of the Huni Kuin People. It is an honor to be bringing these leaders to Costa Rica for the first time and we look forward to sharing this time of healing and prayer with you.

For our prayer circle, we will be working with the ancestral medicines of the forest, facilitated by our Huni Kuin relatives. As original stewards, they will be sharing with us their traditional way of praying with these medicines that have been with their people since time immemorial. The Huni Kuin have the motto, “só alegria” (only joy), and embody this way of being in their walk of life. The ceremony will be filled with traditional prayers, music, singing, and dancing as we commune with the sacred medicines of the forest to heal and cultivate sacred joy.
